On Tuesday, October 4, we held a presentation about the FTC for teachers at our school. The purpose of this was to give them an idea of what we do on Friday afternoons after school and explain what the FTC is. We also did it to try to get the teachers to sponsor us.
The presentation was successful. The teachers who were there now have a clearer picture of the FTC. We also brought the robot with us to show how such a robot is put together and possibly to explain what some important parts do exactly.
The nice thing was, when we were done, that they became enthusiastic and would like to sponsor us. It is also nice if you possibly need a teacher, that they know better what they are doing it for. For example, you have to write a piece and would like to know if it is grammatically correct. Then your Dutch or English teacher also knows what he/she is doing.
Dinsdag 4 oktober hebben we een presentatie gehouden over de FTC voor docenten op school. Het doel hiervan was om hun een beeld te geven over wat wij doen op vrijdagmiddag na schooltijd en uitleg te geven wat de FTC is. Ook hebben we het gedaan om te proberen dat de docenten ons gaan sponsoren.
De presentatie was succesvol verlopen. De docenten die er waren hebben nu een duidelijker beeld over de FTC. We hadden ook de robot meegenomen om te laten zien hoe zo’n robot nou precies in elkaar zit en eventueel uitleg te geven over wat sommige onderdelen die belangrijk zijn precies doen.
Het leuke was, toen we klaar waren, dat ze enthousiast zijn geworden en ons graag zouden willen sponsoren. Ook is het fijn als je eventueel een docent nodig hebt, dat ze beter weten waarvoor ze het doen. Bijvoorbeeld, je moet een stukje schrijven en wil graag weten of het grammaticaal goed is. Dan weet je Nederlands of Engels docent ook waarvoor hij/zij het doet.
